How to set up your ESB1

About 4 minutes4 stepsMarked up as HowTo
Before you start

The ESB1 works standalone with a built-in screen, so there is no app to install and no pairing step before your first shot. Setup takes about four minutes, most of which is charging.

Step 1. Charge the unit fully

Connect the supplied 12V adapter. A full charge takes around three hours and gives roughly twenty hours of use.

Step 2. Place it four to six feet behind the ball

Set the unit on flat ground directly behind the ball, square to your target line. Too close and the radar cannot acquire the ball; too far and it may pick up the shot next to you.

Step 3. Select your club

Use the club selector so the unit applies the right expectations to the shot. Selecting the wrong club is the most common cause of readings that look wrong.

Step 4. Swing and read the display

Ball speed, club speed, carry, total distance, smash factor, spin rate and launch angle appear on the screen within about a second of impact.

If something is not working

If the display stays blank after a full charge, check that nothing is blocking the sensor window and that you have at least four feet of clearance behind the ball. Call 855-354-4653 if the problem persists.
