Updating launch monitor firmware
Firmware updates are delivered through the ES Range App over Bluetooth. Updates improve measurement accuracy, add club types and fix reported faults, so it is worth checking every few months.
Step 1. Charge the unit above 50 percent
An interrupted update can leave the unit needing a factory reset, so do not start one on a low battery.
Step 2. Open the ES Range App and pair over Bluetooth
Select your unit from the device list. The app reads the installed firmware version automatically.
Step 3. Check for an available update
If one is available the app prompts you. You can also check the current version under device settings.
Step 4. Keep both devices powered and close together
Stay within a few feet of the unit and do not close the app. A typical update takes three to five minutes.
Step 5. Confirm the new version
When the app reports completion the unit restarts. Check device settings to confirm the version number has changed.
If something is not working
If an update is interrupted and the unit will not power on normally, hold the power button for fifteen seconds to force a restart, then retry on a full charge.
